First good team on the schedule, and the Steelers confirm, as I feared, that they have failed to address last year's offensive problems - horrendous pass protection, no clue on blitz pick-ups, no physicality in the running game, Ben still hanging on to the ball too long or forcing it into double coverage instead of throwing the ball away, giving up on the run too quickly when Parker has problems instead of giving some carries to one of the more physical backs? And why is it that we are the only team that for the second year in a row puts our most physical running back in to return kicks? Did we really spend our first round draft choice on a kick-returner, or is there still hope that before the season is over, we will see Mendenhall getting some carries in the base offense as a change of pace to FWP, especially in games against smaller, quicker defenses where a power running game is called for?
