One has brand X computer, with OS WXYZ, both of which serve their owners needs adequately. Why on earth, given the mentioned situation,, would anyone want or should I say "need" to upgrade their operating system?

clock

What time zone clock is this site using? I'd be interested in knowing a bit of your background. You just seemed to appear out of nowhere. Were you in the IT industry? Were you always a tech journalist? Have you always lived in Pittsburgh? Don't care about your personal life, e.g. wife and kids etc.

I enjoy your column, usually check the PG site every day to see if you've written a new column.
