This was taken at the annual ARL Wildlife Center Fall Harvest Fest fundraiser in Verona, PA on October 17th. During the festivities several rehabilitated animals were released back into the wild as seen here. More than 200 supporters attended the event and more than $3000 was rasied to support the continued care of wildlife in Wester PA.

Curtis Aiken and Dan Griffin were among those enjoying the festivities at the Tickets for Kids Charities fundraiser held Saturday night prior to Cirque du Soleil's Alegria performance. Aiken is a local businessman and former Pitt basketball star. Griffin, general manager of the Oxford Athletic Clubs is a member of the Tickets for Kids Charities board and the RAD board. A NIGHT OF SONG, FOOD, AND FUN FOR ALL!!

Fifth Annual Voices Carry, presented by Huntington Bank, continued as one of Pittsburgh's premier fun events. This year's Voices Carry was held on Tuesday evening, September 22, 2009 in the East Hall at Heinz Field.

Voices Carry can only be described as a night of great singing, good food, and a whole lot of fun. Magician Lee Terbosic made his way through the crowd entertaining with comedy and magic tricks. Attendees could bid to sing, bid on a four-night stay in the Big Apple with luxury accommodations or one of several other unique items. Some even made their way to dance with their friends on the stage and catwalk.

Jeff Jimmerson sang the National Anthem, and then the list of celebrity singers continued to read like a list of “who’s who” in Pittsburgh. Leading the way -- Pittsburgh rock icon Donnie Iris, joined by other prominent, talented musicians including, Rick Witkowski and the Pittsburgh All Stars, Jessica Lee, Roy Ruzika, Chris Hemingway, Etta Cox, Johnny Angel, Chris Higbee , B.E. Taylor, Rob James, Lee Robinson, Jayna Lininger, Vanessa Campagna, Sarah Marince, Sputzy, Kelsey Friday, Anthony Rankin, Sandy Dowe, Joey Gruscheky, Antoinette Manganas, Sabrina DeMatteo, and Margot B. Along with emcee Randy Baumann of WDVE, other celebrities also committed to supporting Auberle by singing and supporting Auberle at Voices Carry, including Jim Krenn from WDVE, Jon Burton, Andrew Stockey, Mike Clark, Sally Wiggin, Stephen Cropper and Janelle Hall of WTAE-TV, and Vince Sims of WPXI-TV. All of the singers gathered on stage in an All Star Jam at the end of the night, which brought the crowd to their feet.

Auctions continued throughout the night for those who wished to take a chance of walking away with one of several fabulous prizes, including a Hammock, Dine 'round the 'Burg package, Wheelbarrow of Cheer, Bicycle and a Happy Hour for 50 at the Rhythm House. This year, attendees purchased chances to win the grand prize of a Celtic Noir Collection bracelet donated by Casa D'Oro.

This year’s “Voices Carry Pledge to Sing” contest winner was Dan Noga from Indiana, PA. Dan “won” the privilege to perform the third song of the night with the band! He brought the crowd to the dance floor as he sang Word Up.

The night was fun, to be sure, but Voices Carry is more about introducing the attendees to the work and mission of Auberle: helping children and families to heal themselves. Auberle’s goal is to present a compelling story, ultimately resulting in an increase in community involvement with the organization. Co-Chairs: Edyce Rizzi and Peggy Dennin with the help of 8 committee members honored the 2009 Medallion Ball candidates. The afternoon began with Rita's Ice served in custom created glasses. Kelly Hanna Riley and Annie Hanna Engel, the Co-Chairpersons for November's Medallion Ball greated each guest. A buffet lunch was provided by Gretchen's Good Eats, Inc. This last weekend, thousands of fans descended on the Post Gazette Pavilion to watch blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco and Chester French rock the crowds for the T-Mobile Sidekick blink-182 Summer 2009 Tour.

While at the show, fans stopped by the T-Mobile Sidekick booth to win meet and greets with blink-182, band merchandise and enter to win the ultimate prize, the Live the Rock Life with blink-182 sweepstakes.

This black-tie event serves to raise funds for tuition support for dental students.
