Albino Kidd with all 3 Palaminos on opening day!

Jeff had caught all three Palaminos on Opening Day with his dad Jim and brother Adam.

Jeffs longest Palamino was measured at 22 inches and weighed at 4lbs 6oz. He was so excited that he caught 3 that day plus a rainbow trout. When he caught his Palamino the other fishermen were calling him the Albino Kidd! Jeff had gone fishing the week after in the same place and caught another Palamino and a trout that had gotten him a cash prize. They were fishing down by the Forest Grove Sportsman Club. He had a blast.

Adam was with his dad Jim and brother Jeff fishing on opening day. Adam caught 5 trout all by himself. He was so excited that he wanted everyone to see.

Austin's Big Palomino

Austin Alger of Greene Township caught this stunning Palomino on May 6, 2009 in Raccoon Creek State Park on Traverse Creek while fishing with his Dad (Steve) and sister (Chloe).

Eleven year-old Austin's Palomino qualifies for the Angler Award program by the PFBC, and was certified at 21.5 inches, weighing 5 lb. 14 oz.

Amazingly, Austin landed this beauty using Chloe's two and one-half foot Barbie fishing rod! Dad was removing a deeply set hook from a trout Austin caught minutes earlier and Austin borrowed Chloe's rod for a few minutes. Thanks Chloe!

Although Austin has caught over 225 trout in his career, this was his first Palomino. What a catch!
