    late blight

After removing infected late blight tomato plants, is it safe to plant tomatoes in the same place next spring?  Thanks

    Re: late blight

To add to that question: we also have some grass (not winter rye) growing where our tomato plants were planted.  Could the grass contain the blight and carry over the winter?

It would be better to grow them in another spot if possible. Late blight will be killed by a freeze, but it's always a good idea to rotate crops.

No worries on the other plants growing there, late blight is airborne, so don't worry about that problem.
