Tolerant Parent YOU MUST BE JOKING!!!!  You are trying to blame Dr. Whitfield for not reporting the "fraudulent changes" in her contract immediately because a superior told her not to?  I would like to know when it became legal to change pages of a contract without the knowledge of the contract holder?  You are right Tolerant Parent, this whole situation is an embarrassment for our district as are people like you!

Perhaps you can share with us your information regarding the fraudulent changes made in Dr. Whitfield's contract and by whom.  Or is that just more misinformation?  My concern here is with a Board that says they need more time to review the contract, and then does nothing for the next 4 months.  I do agree that this situation is an embarrassment to the district and made more so by a Board that can't communicate with one another in a civil manner.  They can't even answer the simple question of "Have you reviewed the contract?" without hiding behind their lawyer. As for the public outcry, these posts seem to indicate there are many people in the district who support Dr. Whitfield.  And I'm not joking.

I am not insinuating that at all.  According to her lawsuit, it came to HER attention that an employee had changed her contract.  SHE did nothing.  Their is no need to attack me personally.  I am only stating the facts as reported by Dr. Whitfield in her complaint.

Public outcry?  92 posts of which at least 70% are from the same people responding.

To:  Tolerant Parent:  Sounds like you are tipping your hand as to who you might be?   Quoting from Dr. Whitfield's lawsut and stating facts reported by Dr. Whitfield in her complaint gives us a  pretty clear cut picture as to why you are defending this sorry excuse of a board.  Dr. Whitfield was being the tolerant one.  She would have been willing to accept a new contract from you and overlook the wrongs done to her when her rights were violated by fraud.  If only the "board majority" had agreed to a contract, this could have all been avoided. You are not tolerant, you are dillusional.

I am not attacking you.  I would just like to know where I can find a copy of Dr. Whitfield's lawsuit.  I read the general info in the Signal Item article, but all it states is that Dr. Whitfield is suing the district for Breach of Contract, School Code violations and fraud.  Is there a more detailed text of her lawsuit?

I think tolerant parent needs to review what she wrote.  She criticizes Dr. Whitfield for not reporting fraudulent activity and later cites that fraud is part of the lawsuit.  What most professionals learn is that in a situation where something unethical is done, one should try to resolve the issue with the wrongdoer first.  Perhaps Dr. Whitfiled attempted to resolve this or believed it to be a mistake initially?  She did - well before she hired an attorney.  Fortunately, the facts will be reviewed and the truth will prevail.  Unfortunately, it will come at a high cost - financially, emotionally, and timewise - for many, many people, and ultimately take away from our kids.

I too was at the board meeting.  It is an embarrassment to watch the so-called leaders of the community.  More time was spent talking about sports and colors of hand railings than anything.  No one hooted and hollered when it was reported that AYP was made.  It's just sad.  And the hecklers in the audience were a board member's husband, a board member's sister, and a board member's boyfriend.  Nice.  Real nice.

Dillusional?  Hardly.  Is it so difficult to conceive that there is more than one side to this sad story.  I am not defending this board, I merely am not canonizing Dr. Whitfield.  Mistakes clearly were made on both sides.  I do not have a " hidden agenda" or a past ax to grind.  I am a parent, tax payer and business person who believes that there is a better way than "fraud, name calling, and vendettas.  To merely suggest that the board had only to agree to a contract is wrong.  The truth will come out, unfortunately for our community it will be in court.

It seems to me that all those who are personally attacking Tolerant Parent have a personal agenda.  Those of us who are just looking for the facts and trying to make an unbiased assessment of the situation are being crucified.  Nothing can be settled with this issue until both sides are allowed to release all of the facts.  It is an unfortunate situation for all involved.  Making personal verbal attacks and insuations against others posting on this site merely makes us (as a community) look like a bunch of pathetic whiners who have our own personal vendettas.  Speaking as someone who has experience in dealing with similar issues every day in my professional life, it is best to keep personal emotion and bias at home - the plain and simple facts will predict the outcome.

Yes, our board members our spending our money wisely allright......nice trips and own agenda's. Those on the outside looking in haven't a clue on what's going on.  You obviously do not have the facts.

NO!  This is another issue where Chartiers Valley school board is embarrassing our community. These school board members have definitely let power over people's lives go to their heads. It is a shame that the only way these same school board members get re-elected is because their names are the only ones on the ballots. Dr. Whitfield is CV. Her children go to the school, she worked her way, honestly, through the school, and her first concerns are for our district. She does not have an agenda, unlike the school board members, she is there for the right reasons. Ask the school board members if they can say the same thing! They need to go away not Dr. Whitfield. Remember the school board at election time.

Chartiers Valley residents be advised that Dr. Tammy Whitfield's last day at work will be tomorrow. The arrogant school board members have succeeded in their quest to eliminate the finest assistant superintendent of our school district. Please consider the election of Tuesday and send a notice to these school board members that we respect Tammy more than them and write in her name on your ballot for school board. Please send them a message that their revenge and arrogance is not what we want on our school board.

My advise to anyone concerned about the abuse of power of the board is to make your voice  heard..  Tuesday is the time you can do this.  Tuesday is the time to make a difference.  When you go to the polls to vote for our lovely school board members.............bring some new blood in.  Vote for the individuals who are actually taking a stand..............Beth Mcintyre and  a new voice Debbie Rice..............but the big impact is to write Tammy Whitfield in! Yes, write Tammy Whitfield in as a write in.............even if we don't accomplish getting her elected to the board, with enough write ins................it will send a message that we can take our power back.  This school board is no longer running on the responsibilities tha we have given them...............they are running on their own agenda.  We as tax payers and parents of children in the district need to be heard.!

Too bad someone didn't take a fire extinguisher to the hearings this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Seems to me there were a few people who had pants on fire. Lying about Dr. Whitfield is what happened. It's too bad that a few people couldn't just can't seem to be truthful.

    Vote on Tuesday...

McIntyre, Rice, and write in Tammy Whitfield (spelled correctly so it counts).
