Here the Steelers go again; throwing good money away. The signing of Farrior was smart but giving him $5 million a year was stupid. Bruschi plays for 2.5 million; Seau plays for 1.1 million, London Fletcher plays for 3 million (2007 Cap Values) They even signed a backup Tackle for 7 million that nobody else wanted. Brilliant cap management guys!
That's 9 miliion dollars wasted! Let's look to see what they could have done with that?
Gee, they might have been able to make Alan Faneca happy; or sign Jake Scott who anchored the Center position for Peyton for the last 5 years or even sign a sorely needed shutdown corner, or maybe just maybe even trade for a top tackle to solidify a crappy offensive line (Jason Peters is still holding out; oh yeah, we can't recoup the DEAD money)
So when we are seeing Ben getting Bull Sacked like last year (remember the 7 sack game from the lowley Jets) or our secondary getting lit up (Ala, the Patriots game or the Broncos game) just think of 9 million in dead money
