Do you agree with the Mars Area School District policy on hand scanners?

As of mid-November, students in Mars Area School District high school and middle school who refuse to have their hands scanned for identification when purchasing lunch will be told to "knuckle under" or pack from home. Up until now, approximately 10 students who have objected to using the scanner have been buying lunch the old-fashioned way -- with their ID cards. Do you agree with the district's position? Is North Hills School District taking appropriate steps to help Northway students acclimate to their new school?

McIntyre Elementary School in Ross has been renovated and expanded to accommodate children in kindergarten through sixth grade from now-closed Northway Elementary. North Hills officials have offered several programs to help introduce former Northway students to their new building and their new classmates.
