Looking for Jobs in Pittsburgh, One man's experience.

my name is mr. wonderful.
I am a University of Pittsburgh student.
I have been applying for jobs since last year.
So far I have been denied work about %98 of the time ( out of 200 applications) (I can provide proof).
My experience applying for jobs in PA is that most employers meet with me and then I never hear back form them.
Or they indicate that I have not been hired on my PA links webpage, but continue interviewing me and giving me misleading information.
I graduate in August with a Bachelors Degree. I have run my own business and have extensive work experience.
In three months I will have virtually no income and could end up on the street.
I am currently applying for welfare.
I would like to meet with someone who can review my case.
Surely there must be a way that I can find gainful employment.
I have contacted the ACLU and my senator because I feel that some of the employers, and career service offices that I have "worked" with thus far
have provided me zero information on how I might be employed, and in addition have provided career links with boguss information regarding my applications.

Dear Deep-Pocketed Private Employers and Government Agencies:

We, the members of Help Our Stagnant Economy Defrost (HOSED), realize many of your highly-paid employees resent President Obama's proposal to increase taxes on citizens earning at least $250,000 yearly.

HOSED members are unselfish patriots who promise to replace these martyrs and never complain about paying increased taxes on our exorbitant compensation.

Help us to help you and America by substituting our wonderful, fulfilling, menial jobs for your depressing over-taxed positions.

Please let us feel your pain!

GOVERNMENT FUNDED "TREATMENT" ABUSE

Here's one that I have written to everyone that I could think of ........

The abuse of government funded "addiction treatment" programs (especially methadone maintenance)

I am all in favor of supporting treatment but not all "clients" in treatment are there to improve their lifestyles.

Take for instance, methadone maintenance....... a person can continue to use illicit drugs for as long as they like. The abuse of crack cocaine and benzodiazepines is alarming in "methadone maintenance treatment". The state / county auditors seem uninterested in addressing illicit use due to the treatment being "opiate" treatment (which excludes crack and benzos).

There used to be a limit to illicit use and the client was eventually terminated from treatment if illicit use continued. Today, they hide continued illicit use behind the "harm reduction" theory. In the meantime the "client's" life is deteriorating in every area.

All of this at taxpayer expense .............. "Treatment" is paid by county & state funding (except for privately owned clinics). There are 7 clinics in the Pittsburgh area (one is exclusively private, the rest are funded by county & state).

The "clients" also receive FREE bus passes or GAS CARDS for the life of their "treatment" thanks to the "medical assistance transportation program". Anyone familiar with the "treatment" programs know that MOST of the "clients" sell their bus passes and gas cards each month.

Most of the "clients' are QUICKLY given a MENTAL HEALTH diagnosis which qualifies them for continuous medications, hospital visits and SSI !!!!!!!

Anyone familiar with addiction is aware that addiction and mental health symptoms are VERY similiar. Most symptoms subside once the addict is completly drug-free and begn working a recovery program (although pyschiatrists and some addiction professionals may argue this. Dr. Twerski used to suggest waiting until the person is abstinent for a few months prior to any MH evals).

It would be great to see improved regulations at the "methadone maintenance" clinics. For instance, if a client continues illicit use after the first 6months (continuous use) then the FUNDI
NG and BUS PASS be STOPPED. !!!! This would probably be a great incentive, also.

Pelosi and 7 Dems flew to Italy for 1 week................. they are probably "stimulating" Italy's economy................

Its amazing to me that the general public is not alarmed at the wasteful spending by our local governments.I wasn't born or reared in Western PA. but truly find in perplexing that just in the county of Allegheny alone we have 129 different towns and cities.Can anyone tell me with a straight face why we need so many different governments?
