    Curry tree

    Hi Doug,

I have a  curry-leaf tree (Murraya koenigii) from the past 4 years. It is about 5 ft. tall and is in a large container.  I have used the leaves regularly for cooking. Usually I bring it outdoors after Memorial Day. Last week, I repotted it with Miracle-Gro Potting mix and it is now losing its leaves. There was new growth on it earlier though that looks good for now. Could too much fertilizer in the mix could have killed it? Also, the leaves of my indoor plants including curry tree, "burned" when brought outdoors(It was mid-70's). This has never happened before. 9All these plants were repotted with the mix) I took all the indoor plants inside with the exception of the tree, and they are doing well. Please help save my curry tree!

    Thanks,

    Nikki.

Could be a couple things, I am suspicious of the MG fertilizer for that plant, it might be too much fertilizer.

The other thing is that plants going from inside to outside need a halfway house, a time to harden off. We've got some cooler weather coming and gray days. Don't let the plant get soaked, but this might be the time to get it outside.

The new growth is a great sign though, get it outside and watch it carefully, I think it will be OK.
