     BINGO!!! Boy Cott!!!

Why didn't Bud's rantings include the fact that the Pirate management hasn't signed many (if any) major leaguers to a contract AFTER they get good--meaning to retain their services in Pittsburgh??  Answer:  They don't want to spend the damn MONEY!!!

How foolish do these guys beleive we are???  What, Bobbo has kept the team out of the goodness of his heart all these losing years and he just doesn't mind LOSING money??  Sure, and I have a bridge I'd like to sell ya.  Bobbo could have had multiple offers for the Pirates by now, but yet he refuses to sell.  I'm sure after 17 YEARS he really cares about a winner.  Oh and sell at a handsome profit I might add!!!  But no, these people want us to believe that Bobbo really likes breaking even or losing money cause that's how much he loves baseball.  BULL!!!!  Sell it to someone else Bobbo!!!!!  You make a ton EVERY year, otherwise, like a smart accountant, you would have sold years ago!!!!

Please have Bud discuss the position of MLB when it comes to paying down the debt of the team--which obviously translates into profit when the sale of the team does occur?  Is that considered putting money "back into the team"?  Your damn right it does--and, of course, right into Bobbo's pocket!!!  Now, answer that question Bud!!!  You won't because Bobbo will look foolish.  Nice try though!!!

Hey, have you watched the video asking fans if they'll return next year to watch the Pirates???  What a farce!!!  Everybody says yes!!!  And yet they get the 3rd lowest attendance in baseball.  Wow, you people really think we're stupid???

Hey, Bobbo, I see where Chuck Greenberg is getting a group together to buy the Texas Rangers--I'm sure he'd buy the Pirates!!!  SELL THE DAMN TEAM!!!!!!

     LJ,

I wonder if there is anybody reading these posts, besides you and I, that "get it".

Ya know, I think the suasage races made the ESPN highlites more than our baseball team this year.

That'll bring all those fans back.

Hey, while we are at it, why not boycott the Pirates flagship station, FM NewsTalk 104.7!

The station has Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Michael Savage, and Savage always makes fun of Rush, Hannity and Beck. Savage calls Beck "a hemorroid with eyes," so that's what I think Huntington and Coonelly are : hemorroids. With all the backlash the talkers on 104.7 have had (especially Glenn Beck), and the liberals want to silence talk radio, would 104.7 force feed us with 24/7/365 rebroadcasts of the worst Succos games ever? Maybe. FM News Talk 104.7 is a mess with the liberals wanting to crack down on Rush, Hannity & Co. and of course, being the home of the worst team in baseball, the Pirates.

Aren't you glad KDKA got rid of the pill-popping Hush Bimbo and those perennial losers the Pirates?

Let's boycott 104.7, and tell that other hemorroid with eyes Rocco DiMaro that we are sick and tired of the Pirates.

Being a die hard Pirate fan, it is as most of the posters have outlined, downright frustrating.  We do not want a baseball team in Pittstburgh, we want a baseball team that has a chance at winning.  New management is the answer. The Owner is the problem.  They must come off the almighty dollar and make us happy for a change.  The fans will support a good team over a crappy one.  They will support even better very good team over a good one.  It is simple economics.  You have to have the money to make it work, then once it starts moving on its own, the revenue will come flowing in. "If you build it ,they will come!"  Now where have we heard that before?

I live in Charleston, SC, Ofcourse I don't get back to my old stomping grounds as often as I would like, but I buy memorabilia for the Steelers & Penguins.  We travel to watch Steeler games and when in Pittsburgh we always try to take in a game of some kind.  But to be honest, Pirate ball games and Pirate memorabilia are not how I would like to spend my money. NOBODY WANTS TO SUPPORT A LOOSER.  And if the the Pirate organization thinks they are winning by not producing for the fans, but by generating personal wealth at the expense of the fans, then they are missing the big picture.

I recenly got off the phone with my 92 year old father who still lives in the area and the Pirates were mini-topic of our time together.  God Bless Him. he said," Well maybe next year."

Sorry Dad!  Not even if you have another 92 years will next year ever come unless Pirate ownership takes responsibilty for their actions, spends some money, and begins to respect the hard working fans of the great city of Pittsburgh.

You da' man Tom!!!  Still a fan and living in SC.  Bless your dad at 92 as well!!!!  Tell him sooner or later Bobbo will get the hint and sell the team to bring us a winner already.

I hope your dad is still with us when this happens so he can enjoy a winner in the great City of Pittsburgh!!!!
