Should the Steelers have any concerns about the run defense?

Based on the first two preseason games, should the Steelers have any concerns about the run defense?

They had no pass rush against the Bills on the frist 2 drives and Casey Hampton being a nose tackle has got to become swift afoot and cause disruptions along the line, just being a big slug in the middle is not getting the job done...  Get in game shape Hamp, that is why you get a big check every month.....

the DE needs to use 4 down linemen from time to time,we have too many gaps on the line, size wize that is. and on the O side they need a good trap block play for  short yardage.

I'd be worried.  For years the Steelers have had a "bend but then bend some more" defense.  How many times do they have teams starting from inside their own 10, and let them move up the field?  How many times do the Steelers get the safety (and the ball)?  Not enough.  Instead teams continually march up the field, and even if they get stopped, they punt from the Steeler 45 rather than their own end zone.  The Steelers do not tackle very well and give up too many soft yards.  Yeah, I'll be worrying a lot this year unless they get more aggressive and tackle better.

I know it's just the preseason, but the Steelers look just like they did last year - DB's getting beat, can't stop the run, no real pressure on the QB, can't protect the QB, can't run themselves, Ben trying to make plays while fending off sacks, some resulting in interceptions, trying to return kick-offs with a bulky running back who will never break a big one, giving up big kick-off returns killing momentum gained after their own scores.  Any reason to believe this season will end any better?

4 DOWN LINEMEN!!! When are we going to start trying this out?    Our 3-4 can't always get it done against these hybrid young linemen coming into the league.  I agree with zeke..... we really need to mix it up if we want to be effective against the run.  Don't get me started on the holes in our secondary...  Still, we're capable of being the best.

Everyone needs to chill out. Yes there were concerns last season. It is the preseason, with the new talent  Timmons and Woodley and a healthy Troy and Ryan Clark, Things will be different!!!!!!   Here we go Steelers!!!

Troy being the same ever again is a big if!  Ryan should be fine and Timmons and Woodley are not ready--but should be better the second half of the season--

some just need a bite from reality!  The lines are the problems on both sides!

NO!....The last two weeks they have beaten teams that have had future hall of fame running backs.  If people try to run up the middle they are stopped by the interior line before the linebackers get there.  If the line does not stop them they slow them down enough that the ferocious linebackers clean up the rest.  Oh and there is that rediculous Superman named Troy.  Need I say more?
