WPIAL releases quarterfinal sites; Jones-Moore likely to play

 By Mike White | Monday, Nov. 9, 9:55 a.m.

WPIAL quarterfinal playoff sites below

High schools don't have injury reports for players. But if they did, Central Catholic's Damion Jones-Moore, the sixth leading rusher in the WPIAL during the regular season, would be listed as probable for Friday's WPIAL quarterfinal game against Woodland Hills.

Jones-Moore, a sophomore pictured to the left, did not play in the Vikings' first-round game against Seneca Valley because of an injured kneecap. But Central Catholic coach Terry Totten said this morning that "I'm pretty confident that he'll be alright [for Friday]."

There are alot of great games scheduled for playoff friday.  If you are a high school football fan what game do you actually go see?  You don't even have to leave your house and can catch the defending WPIAL champs play a very good football team.  I hope the Quips can pull it out.   I think Center might get upset.

I have to catch the West A vs New Castle game.  Should be a great game.  I watched this game earlier in the season I am interested to see if West A can take care of business again.   New Castle has 4 Athletes and that Mattarazzo is a heck of a QB especially for being so young.  His poise in the pocket is like he's a veteran.  New Castle did have trouble tackling Caputo plus their line dominated in the trenches.  West A literally ran the same play from scrimage with Caputo 32 of the 50 plays against New Castle.

New Castle defense wasn't very good when I saw them play But the problem is West A's pass defense stinks.  West A just recently droppd Caputo back into SAfety position against Knock for the 1st time all year from what I understand.  Seemed like it helped but Knock didn't have a very good passing QB.  So hard to tell.  Caputo just seemed to be more all over the field and not double teamed so much against knock.
