Keystone Oaks standout Jimmy Taylor to Seton Hill

By Colin Dunlap ][ 10:05 p.m. Tuesday

Got this e-mail a little while ago:

Keystone Oaks graduate Jim Taylor committed to Division II Seton Hill University joining the Men's Basketball team.  Taylor led the Golden Eagles in scoring this past season by averaging 19.8 ppg. and making 90 three pointers.  He finished his high school career with 1,220 career points.

Best regards,

Michael Pfeuffer
Head Coach
Keystone Oaks High School

Now, Jimmy Taylor was a very good basketball player and I am sure will continue to be a very good basketball player on the collegiate level, but my favorite part about him was his high school tennis career.
No, I am not joking, take a look at this story, it is great stuff.

DKID-

Did you see the link at the end of the post?

It mentions his tennis prowess...my favorite part, though, is how he bucked the country club trend.

In one story, here: www.post-gazette.com/.../876973-364.stm

Taylor, "played his consolation match in a gray T-shirt with "Keystone Oaks tennis" on the front, blue basketball shorts and a pair of beat-up basketball sneakers with a hole or two in them."

Classic.

No I didnt I just read the part about him going to Seton Hill.  But I have seen him play tennis and he looks like he shows no effort. His serve is so nonchalant and he just waits for you to make the mistake.  He will rally with you all day.
