Today, we look at preseason rankings.

As we all know, they really don't mean all that much on the whole scope of things, but they are huge in sparking heated debates. At the P-G, we don't unveil ours until our preseason edition comes out, but that is no excuse for us not to see yours.

Serra lost a lot (particularly in the running game and with Gubbs along the line).

One thing is for sure after seeing just a few of your rankings -- there are high hopes at NA this season. I would agree with that, as Art Walker has quickly turned the program back around.

I see that baddog gives another vote to Serra as Class A's No. 1 school. I just think they lost an awful lot in their running game with Loving and Jackson.

Class A - undetermined at this point, but Serra is looking good

Class AA

1- Jeannette - Once again, more than just Terrelle here!

2- Aliquippa - very impressive last year, with a lot of returning starters, a no-brainer here

3- I see a lot of Beaver Falls being inserted in the 3rd position here, but I got to disagree. I believe it will be East Allegheny, I was originally thinking Valley until the story on their QB Petit, broke. Beaver falls didn't really impress me

Jeannette is good, very good. But to totally discount the rest of Class AA, particularly Beaver Falls and East Allegheny teams that both have their leading rushers back is a little nuts.

Colin I think you have to give Serra the top nod in what I think will be a very competitive Single A division with them coming back as the defending  Champions even though any of those teams could contend.  And with in AA I think Beaver lost too much losing Cutlip who I thought was the most underrated player in AA last year.  Also, in AA watch out for the Rebels if they can stay healthy they could make a run at it with this line they have they are huge up front.  And remember it is an even year.  And I have a feeling South Park will be back in the thick of things when it is all said and done.

Colin : It appears that the starter is going to be Cameron Baradziej, which is the right move, Cameron is very precise, with a great arm and quick release, but I seen with my own 2 eye's, Jordan taking some snaps and he's got quite an arm on him also. You know Coach Reitz got something up his sleeve! And they're not really lacking for back-ups either, Tom Paulone looks very impressive so far.

seems that Jordan would work well at QB, but I think having his set back, 7 yards deep as a single back is probably best.

Then again, Ray Reitz is a fine football coach and I would trust that whatever decision he makes would be the best possible one for the 'Hawks.

DKID- Beaver has a lot of size coming back on the lines, including Josh Bucci. Don't forget even with Cutlip, Beaver did not score many points last year. Jeff Belz is a good coach and he will have Beaver competitive. I can see the same top three in the MAC as last year.

They definitely have a ton of talent. I saw them at Pitt's 7on7 and there was no question they are as athletic as anyone out there.
