Being the daughter of a history teacher I learned that it is not only the civic duty of every citizen to vote but to educate themselves on what the candidates stand for and what they have done in the past to support their stand. When I checked the voting records of Obama and McCain I saw that not only were they in the top 4 Senators who missed the most votes, but they almost always supported the very issues proposed by Bush that have the American people so fed up with what is happening in Washington and in this country. This is when I began my search to see if there were any other candidates in the 3rd parties who I could vote for with a clear conscience. After googling 2008 elections I found the following web site helpful in finding out who they are and what they stand for 2008election.procon.org . Because the 2 major parties have done everything in their power to restrict ballot access and the debates to these fine candidates and as much as I would like to see them in the debates I am including this info so that those truely interested in learning more can. Cynthia McKinney's web site is mckinney2008.com/PRESIDENT . Ralf Nader's is www.votenader.org . Chuck Baldwin's is http://www.baldwin08.com/ and Bob Barr's is www.bobbarr2008.com/.../skip . I would ask that everyone who feels the 2 major parties have nothing to offer please take the time to learn more about the 3rd parties and then make an educated choice guided by conscience. You will not be wasting your vote but helping to change an undemocratic election system.
