Disney Channel's "JONAS" (8 p.m. Saturday), starring the Jonas Bros., is an ideal TV vehicle for brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas.
They get to sing, they're learning to act and their fans will be at least moderately entertained. Production values are high -- it's a single-camera comedy, no laugh track -- and the scripts seem less banal than, say, "Hannah Montana."
That said, "JONAS" would be better with more singing and less acting. In an episode made available for review, the most entertaining sequence was the opening credits sequence, a high-energy, pop-punk call to "live to party."
Among the brothers, Nick is the most natural actor while Joe is the biggest ham. All three allow the show's scripts to poke fun at their following.
