Pittsburgh stations improved their standing in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards, winning five more awards this year than last year, but it was still a paltry take compared to Philadelphia stations. Of course, to win, you have to enter. WTAE does not enter the regional Emmys but individual staffers can enter on their own. WPXI typically follows a similar policy.
WQED won seven awards (out of 23 nominations) and KDKA won three (out of 11 nominations).
