Tell us what you think about the new Facebook

The Techmen are fans of Facebook in general.  We like that we can connect with people we haven't seen or heard from in decades.  It's a very solid idea and, until recently, a nice presentation.

This past week, Facebook rolled out a new format, and the response has less than favorable.  At 8am today, their Layout Vote page was nearly 91% against.  Speaking for myself, I find the following things out of whack on it:

  • Your status isn't visible on your home page any more.
  • The "Highlights" column on the right grows stale pretty quickly and it's a significant chunk of real estate to be so static.

We'd like your opinion, and we have two ways for you to give it.

I don't like the Highlights section, either. If I didn't want to see it in my main section, then I don't want to waste space on it in any other section.
