McCain Mutiny

McCain has gone off the reservation! He has chosen a woman as his vice presidential running mate! Nothing against Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska. I am sure she is very nice. But just because she has ovaries doesn't make her Hillary Clinton.

McCain obviously believes that any ol' gal will do when it comes to wooing those disgruntled Hillary voters. That is an insult to women. The GOP is not a party with a good record of championing women's causes. This VP pick sounds like a gimmick to me. One that will probably backfire.

Today was a travel day for me. Tomorrow I will be exploring Minneapolis/St. Paul and preparing for next week's RNC blowout. I will post again on Sunday.

Dear Mr. Rogers,

I enjoyed your everyman commentary and sidesplitting caricatures from the DNC.

I can’t wait to behold your artistic interpretation of Senator Potato Head’s – I mean this in the figurative (cartoonish) and not literal sense – very attractive running mate. Does she remind you of Tina Fey? If she possesses Ms. Fey’s quick wit and sense of humor, the Democratic Juggernaut has a potential iceberg in its path.

I hope the Republicans provide great fodder for your blog!

Look. We get it.  Rob Rogers is a big liberal.  It is hardly a secret who this guy is rooting for.  Republicans=Bad, Democrats=good.  We know this.  Obama is going to look really great and McCain will be drawn like a bag of marbles.  If Obama would have picked a woman, we'd see glowing images of glass ceilings being penetrating, waters parting, etc.  But since Sarah Palin is not a LIBERAL woman, she doesn't count.  I don't care that Rob Rogers is a big liberal, but let's just keep this in mind when we enjoy his "funnies".  Like the Post-Gazette, they are rooting for the Democrats.  First, last, and always.
