Rushing yards

I see that the giant football-shaped Rush Limbaugh is teaming up with the owner of the St. Louis Blues in a bid to buy the Rams, or so the AP reports. Surely the Rams have suffered enough. They have a terrible record as it is, and no amount of hot air from the Rush-man is likely to inflate their NFL balloon.

I want the Rams to fail. It's not that I want them to fail as Rams but I want the conservative philosophy of their new prospective president to be repudiated. America cannot afford to have a Rams success turn us all into right-wing sheep. In fact, I am calling on all you Reg-ulators to boycott all Rams games in their primary market. Oh, that will cause some mischief.

In the midst of this depressing development, a little sheep's tail of good news. At least Rush did not buy a share of the Steelers when the Rooneys were restructuring the team ownership recently. I confess that dreadful thought crossed my mind a few months ago.

Rush is known to be a Steelers fan from his time spent in this area when he was just starting his gabbing career. In the past, His Gasbagness has been seen in a box at Heinz Field. If he had bought into the Steelers, I would have given up following football entirely. The Steelers would have been trying to win one for the bum.

Joke of the day: If Rush buys the Rams, will the dittoheads have to wear football helmets? No, of course not, it's not like they have any brains to protect.

Reg, I'm glad you didn't share your fears of Rush buying into the Steelers, especially as it was known they were looking for investors. There would have been thousands of Western PA liberals laying awake nights over that chilling prospect.

Well, if he spends the money on the Rams, he won't have as much left over for drugs.  Perhaps this is part of his rehab.

In case you haven't noticed Reg., Rush is no longer shaped as a giant football. Besides, thought all you lefties were against name-calling and want everyone to play nice? What? Don't really like overweight people?

Ah! And here we go again with irrelavent Rush. The one no one really listens to. The one no one pays attention to. The one that in spite of these descriptions, still manages to attract the attention of the left everytime he speaks.

He is so irrelavent that the Obama administration blames him for  the uproar regarding health-care and many other of their unpopular policies.

Can't have it both ways Reg.

Oh, regarding Rush's drug (perscription, long over) drug problem...

When did a lib. ever have a problem with someone that was a druggie???

Two topics back, where's your joke?

I don't tell jokes - that's what Reg does.

That should inspire you to tell a better one.  Give it a try!

Callsigntourist - Since you are so into the "joke" thing, why don't you go first?

Ladyburg:

I did.  It's back there with the others.  I'll give you one more, but then it's your turn.

A guy goes into a bar and says, "Quick, gimme a beer before the trouble starts!"  The bartender looks around the sleepy bar, shrugs and hands the guy a bottle of beer.

The guy drinks it fast.

"Quick!  Gimme another beer before the trouble starts!"  The bartender looks at the guy oddly but hands him another bottle.

Again the guy drinks it fast.

"Quick!  Another beer before the trouble starts!"  With a frown, the bartender hands him another beer.

"Quick!  Another beer before the trouble starts!"

"Look pal,” the bartender says, “Exactly what trouble are you talking about?"

"I haven't got any money!"

Two topics back? Need more specifics.

Your joke is back there with the others? Back where?

Don't recall reading many comments from you.

Take you time to answer-will be out of town for a few days.

Ladyburg:

Two topics back from here is Mr. Henry's "Beyond street protests" post -- in those comments.

It's understandable that I haven't made much of an impression.

Look forward to hearing from you when you get back.  Have a safe trip!

Stick to whatever it is you've been doing, you'll starve writing jokes.

I don't listen to Rush all that much, when I am listening to talk at that time I listen to Wilkow on XM, but it never ceases to amaze me how much attention liberals pay to him. I did try listening to the other side so I switched to Airhead America and listened to big, dumn Ed Shultz...just not to interesting. Is there a better liberal to listen to? It's not that I'm not interested in the viewpoint, it's just that the guy is work to listen to. I used to like to listen to Lynn Cullen when she was on but who knows where (or if) she is on these days.My favorite is Laura Ingraham.

Stick to the current.

If the deal is consummated, would all Rams yards gained be "Rushing" yards?

(Forgive me. It's early, and I haven't had my tea yet.)

b.t.w. - My kind of joke, callsigntourist.

Hoo-boy.

Just read the title of Reg's post.

That or it just bubbled-up into my conscious self.

More tea will help.

Apologies to all.

Here's one paraphrased from Hitchens:

"Make me one with everything" said the Eastern philosopher, to the hot dog vendor.

He hands the vendor a $20 and waits for his money back. None comes, so he asks the vendor for it and receives this reply:

"Change comes only from within...."

This is my second new site today.  I still can't believe the name calling I find.  Do some of you not have any ideas to debate?  Someone is Fat, or has no brains to put a helmet on etc etc.  Are these supposed to be a joke and I just don't get it?  Like I said, I'm new here so someone clue me in, funny or serious?  How many times do you have to call someone a name until you can stop.  It's like the move with Jim Carry, I believe it was called the MASK where he proclaims "somebody stop me"
