(in which i try to cheer up the competition)

I know it's only a couple of weeks from Halloween, and the newspaper industry is in trouble, and we have an aging population here in Allegheny County. And I know the folks at the Tribune-Review have never exactly been known for their sunny outlook on life. But it seems to me that, as of 7:30 this morning, things are getting uncomfortably gloomy over there:



When your four Most Read stories are about death, death, after death, and near death, it might be time to try looking on the bright side of life.

Or at least of death...
