very true...WOMEN love coldplay moreso than guys, and though i hear they put on a nice show...coldplay remains dullsville! they aren't even as good as watered down radiohead to me. they are watered up barry manilow. which half-explains the recent grammies. ha

I think of course it is a matter of taste

but must music fans pretend that Foghat, Patty 'bang bang' Smyth, Movie Night, umm Ballett, River City Brass...

I don't personally find this as appealing as a trip donwtown for a rock, soul, blues infused week of music.

Maybe Cat Stevens will sell a few CDs to the kids and they will learn something. I'm 43 (not that old...).

I'm asking myself lately "who is Cat Power", etc.... It seems like new band with the word "cat" popping up everywhere. Kind of like bands with "white" in their name in the 1980s (Whitesnake, Great White, White Lion) or "crow" in the 1990s (Black Crowe, Counting Crows....)
