New York Dolls bring in the 'Trash'

The New York Dolls made it pretty clear at the Three Rivers Arts Festival last summer that they weren't too old to rock.

So it's good to hear that a second comeback album and their fourth overall is on the way May 5.

It's called " 'Cause I Sez So," and it features 11 new originals plus a new version of the 1973 classic "Trash." It was produced by the same guy who worked on their debut, Todd Rundgren, and was recorded in Hawaii, so don't be surprised if Sylvain Sylvain jams on ukele.

"It was amazing working with Todd again," frontman David Johansen said in a statement, "and I think we were able to evoke the special sound of our first album and drag it by the hair into the present."
