Good for the Television Critics Association for voting "Big Bang Theory" best comedy. It didn't get an Emmy nomination -- although Jim Parsons got a much deserved nom for his geek/genius/socially inept Sheldon -- but it was recognized by people in the know.
I know Rob Owen has written quite a bit about Parsons (click link to his Tuned In Journal, above), but I will add my 2 cents. My son Josh and I talked to him for a bit at the Warner Bros. TV party in San Diego, and he couldn't have been more pleasant, answering the same questions he's always asked as if it was the first time. He said he was like Sheldon in many ways, though not nearly as smart (he says that all the time) and wondered about taking photos at night with my new camera. I told him it was a great camera and the pics were fabulous.
Well, they weren't, it turns out. I'm no Sheldon, either, and some came out great; others, like the one of Jim and Josh here, not so great.
Anyway, thanks for being so sweet, Jim.
