Fey leaves a good impression

SNL Tina FeayBy Sharon Eberson / Monday, Oct. 6

I know someone who thinks Sarah Palin is good for the economy: Tina Fey.

In a book deal first reported last week, Fey -- the star of NBC's "30 Rock" and whose spot-on impression of Gov. Palin has been a shot-in-the-arm for "Saturday Night Live" (not to mention a rocket boost for Fey herself) -- will earn something in the $5 million-$6 million range.

The Associated Press reported that two publishing officials with knowledge of the negotiations have said that Little, Brown and Co. will release a book of humorous essays by Fey, 38, who was head writer for "Saturday Night Live" before jumping to "30 Rock" and who scripted the feature film "Mean Girls."
