The new guy, Harrison, from the Cubs, played in Lynchburg tonight and got a hit in the 7-inning game.

Yeah, that power will look good in a Pirates uniform near you.  Clement is better than the Steve Pearce deal, I think.

I think DK was a little bleary-eyed from the recent days' events when he posted this one. Indy lost 10-9 (not 10-3) and Morris gave up 3 ER in those "three scoreless innings."

Scorus

I'd add it's highly unlikely that Clement homered twice, Bixler had two RBIs and the Indians somehow managed to score only 3 runs. ;)

I wonder if Bryan Morris is pitching hurt.

Clement hits two homers -

Pretty good for a guy who's knees are supposedly "shot" according to some seattle know-it-all on Smizik's blog the other day.

Of course, the fact that he had 33 doubles in the minors so far this year before the trade dashed any notion of that being correct anyway. People love to rationalize excuses when their home town player are traded away. Simple fact is that Clement fell out of favor with Seattle management and that's all.

I still think Steve Pearce needed the pressure and he may just step up and show what kind of hitter he can be now. He has impressed me with his hitting last week against elite pitcher Dan Haren, and he had a nice game last night against No-Neck Lannan.

I personally dont see a need to move Garrett Jones to first until maybe Tabata comes up. He has handled the outfield well.
