Nady away until Saturday after child's birth

DENVER -- Xavier Nady will miss the Pirates' games here tonight and tomorrow to be with his family after wife Meredith gave birth to the couple's first child, also named Xavier to extend a long lineage, Tuesday night. Nady is due back for the game Saturday. Doug Mientkiewicz will take his place tonight and probably tomorrow.

Any chance we could maybe draft Xavier's namesake now-maybe by the time he is old enough, he may have a chance to help us win a pennant :)

Speaking of Beane, heck of a deal getting Phillies #2 and #4 (according to BA)  prospects for Joe Blanton.  Time for Neil to shine...

No knock on Menky - because I've loved his hustle - but shouldn't Jason Michaels be starting with the larger right field in Denver?
