Matthew Stafford - In a game that could have been entitled the "Toilet Bowl", rookie QB Matthew Stafford rocked Cleveland for 422 yards through the air and passed for 5 TDs. He may not be available for Detroit's annual Thanksgiving game though as he is questionable with a collarbone injury.
Ricky Williams - While the pain is only beginning for Ronnie Brown owners, Ricky Williams owners can rejoice. The Dolphins have some soft run defenses coming up and Ricky will get all of the carries in those games. He started off with an explosion against the Panthers running for 119 yards and scoring 3 TDs.
Brady Quinn - Going back to the Toilet Bowl game, Brady Quinn showed off his potential throwing for 304 yards and 4 TDs. Unfortunately for him though, the Browns still lost the game, 38-37.
Terrell Owens - Hallelujah!! TO has finally done something this year. Owens was well on his way to a respectable game when he caught a 98 yard TD pass. He recorded more fantasy points on that one play than in recorded in weeks 3 through 7 combined. TO finished with 197 yards and 1 TD.
Brett Favre - When you play only 3 quarters and make it in the top 5 of fantasy performances, you're doing pretty well. Favre did just that, completing 22 of 25 passes for 213 yards and 4 TDs. While his fantasy owners would probably have liked to see him stay in there and "Tom Brady" the other team, staying healthy is probably a little more important at this stage in the season.
Stumblers
Mark Sanchez - The man know as the "Sanchise" is having a very tough rookie season. Sanchez threw 4 more INTs yesterday and lost a fumble. This is getting embarrassing now. I know he's a rookie and all, but he's single handedly killing the Jets chances of winning every week with his turnovers. Under no circumstances should he be in anyone's lineup.
Maurice Jones-Drew - Last week, he was in the Stumblers section as a joke for kneeling on the one yard line. His owners wish this was another joke. With a mouth watering matchup against the Bills, MJD ran for just 66 yards. When I saw how badly the Bills were defending against the run and matched up against Jones-Drew, I was thinking 200 yards easily.
Frank Gore - He ran for 42 yards on his first carry of the game. It should be a good day, right? He finished with 59 yards. No, he wasn't hurt. Gore finished the game with a 8.4 ypc average but for some reason only carried it 7 times. Gore's owners must have felt like Vince Lombardi.
Jay Cutler - Franchise QB eh? The city of Chicago may riot if they have to watch Cutler for the next 4 years. In addition to throwing picks, his accuracy has fallen way off and at this point I tempted to say Cutler should be on everyone's waiver wire. Cutler was 24 for 43, for 171 yards and 1 TD and 1 INT.
Cincinnati Bengals - Ohhh Cincy... You beat the Steelers and Ravens twice then lose to the Raiders? This is why no one takes you seriously as a Super Bowl contender. Not only was it the loss, but it was HOW you lost. You're winning the game by 7 with 33 seconds left and manage to give away 10 points in that span to a team that is just terrible.
