Week Ten Wrap Up

Week Ten in the NFL featured an explosion of fantasy points from all directions.  Two quarterbacks passed for over 400 yards, two running backs scored 3 TD's, and two TE's finished with over 100 yards and 2 TD's.  But with the good came the bad, two quarterbacks were picked off 4 times.

Stars

Jay Cutler - Despite all the big performances on Sunday, nobody had a bigger performance in Week Ten than the Thursday night quarterback, Jay Cutler.  Cutler led the Broncos to an improbable victory over the Brownies, passing for 447 yards and 3 TD's.

Thomas Jones - Leading the charge to the Jets 47-3 victory was running back, Thomas Jones with his 149 yards and 3 TDs.  Jones is finally playing the way we all expected, now let's hope he can keep it going, this Thursday against the Patriots.

Adrian Peterson - He just keeps getting stronger and stronger each week.  This week AP ran for 192 yards, his four straight 100+ yard week, but only came away with one TD.  If Peterson can find his way into the end zone more, he'll easily come away with fantasy football MVP.

Maurice Jones-Drew - Good things come to those who wait.  After two lackluster weeks against poor defenses, MJD broke out, running for only 70 yards, but scoring 3 TDs against the NFL practice squad.  Enjoy your moment now though, he has the Titans and Vikings coming up.

Tony Gonzalez - Despite really have nothing else on offense, future hall of famer, Tony Gonzalez still manages to put up great numbers.  T-Gon caught 10 passes for 113 yards and 2 TD's.  His second TD came at the very end of the game.  The Chargers must have been covering all of the other good Chiefs receivers.  Wait a minute...

Stumblers

Jake Delhomme - A friend of mine asked me, "Favre or Delhomme?" on Friday.  Without a second thought, I said, "Delhomme.  The Raiders secondary is falling apart, they don't have DeAngelo Hall any more, the Panthers have a great passing attack, etc".  After yesterday's game, only two words come to mind in regards to Delhomme... EPIC FAIL.  7/27 for 72 and 4 INT's!  That's a very JaMarcus Russell like stat line, but unfortunately it belonged to Delhomme.  I didn't see the game, so maybe someone out there can help me with this one.  Was he so cocky about beating the Raiders that blindfolded himself?

Chris Johnson - He's the hottest RB in football and is the leading rusher for the unbeaten Titans.  Fortunately for the Titans, they remained unbeaten despite their number one offensive weapon rushing for a mere 8 yards on 14 carries.  The Bears are good against the run, but they're not THAT good.

Gus Frerotte - He did everything he could and tried his hardest, but unfortunately his team still won the game.  His bad decisions and his TD passes to Packers defensive back, Nick Collins nearly sealed the loss for the Vikings, but Purple Jesus, Adrian Peterson saved the day.

Rams offense - Okay Rams, so you don't have Steven Jackson.  You still have Bulger who's playing better and the emerging Donnie Avery.  Plus, you're playing against the Jets defense, which is okay, but to hold you to just 3 points.  I don't know what was more embarrassing, only passing for a combined 120 yards or kicking a field goal when you're losing 40-0!

Sage Rosenfels - Some may consider this unfair to Rosenfels, after all he did play against the Ravens defense.  However, with weapons like Slaton, Johnson, Walter and Daniels, plus you're playing at home, there's no way you should throw 4 INT's.  Those picks helped the Ravens score 41 points in a blowout victory over the Texans.
