Ballard, Leopold, Taffe; the only guys left from that team still playing big-time hockey are Paul Martin and Barry Tallackson, both in the New Jersey organization.

The Panthers organization really put the screws to Rochester last year. They provided very little in terms of talent to the Amerks and the club really struggled last. Rochester is one of the oldest and most storied AHL franchises with a very proud fan base. The new owner has promised to bring in top AHL free agents with the help of Ted Nolan and the Panthers. This signing is a HUGE indication that they may actually put a real team of AHL caliber player out there.

Taffe may never be an NHL regular, but he is one of the best in the AHL. LET"S GO AMERKS!!!

Guerin - Crosby - Kunitz

Fedotenko - Malkin - Talbot

Cooke - Staal - Kennedy

Dupuis - Adams - Godard/Rupp

Some of y'all are talking like Cooke didn't do anything in the playoffs. Cooke got 7 points, Kennedy got 9 points, and Staal got 9 points in the playoffs. Pretty balanced scoring to me, plus when that line cycled down low with the puck, it was doggone near impossible to get the puck away from them.

If anyone should be traded for salary, it's Dupuis. He makes more than Cooke, but, as I said before, Dupuis is going to have to be packaged, just like he was with Hossa in the Atlanta trade last year.

Anyone suggesting Godard getting traded is talking plain foolishness. Rupp can fight, but so can Talbot, Kennedy, and Staal. So you want those guys taking on Brashear in the six games against the Rangers and Carcillo and Cote in six games against the Flyers, and like Goodard is breaking the bank at 750,000. Please...

Dupuis is prime trade fodder; he's been ok here but nothing extraordinary and his pricetag seems a little hefty to me for what he accomplishes.

I'm a fan of Godard and want him kept around, but I just have a soft spot for our enforcers I guess and if we're going to keep one around, may as well be him.

I agree that it is likely that Dupuis (or Cooke) will be traded.
