Kovalev to play tonight - 11-19-09

Senators forward Alex Kovalev (above) will play tonight. He will leave the team afterwards to address the death of his wife's mother in Russia.

The former Penguin has 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 18 games this season.

Note: Earlier we had posted Kovalev would not play tonight. We regret the error.

Note 2: According to Kukla's Korner, TSN had initially reported Kovalev would not play. So blame whoever you like

Yes - TSN is reporting that Kovalev will travel to Russia after tonight's game.

TSN did report earlier that Kovy would not play, so I guess they biffed first.  Its a Biff-a-rama!
