Rick Nash > Mike Green - 11-02-09

Anything that allows us to prop up the legend of Rick Nash and simultaneously deflate the overrated baloon of Mike Green is something we'll always take advantage of.

Check out these highlights from last night's Blue Jackets-Capitals game. At the 1:30 mark, Nash embarrases Green:

Wow. "Hans Jonsson" are two words that come to mind when watching that.

We actually think Green displays better defensive form in this photo than he did on Nash:

2 big reasons why I think the Caps still have work to do to be Cup contenders:

1. goaltending

2. their star players only know how to play on one half of the rink. Guess which half?

Nash is a beast. Hope he brings some of that to the Olympics.

Maybe that´s another reason why he got a much worse rating at NHL10 than Gonch. :-)

Put down the hater-ade Seth.  Green does need to work plenty on defense but remeber Paul Coffey spent most of his moments as a 4th forward. Besides I can remember a younger Gonchar losing the puck overtime of Game 6 to Marty Straka for a series ender a few years ago.

The Caps lack grit and toughness and the patience to play defense - not sure if they can get past PItt, NJ, Philly, or Bos in the east unless changes are made.
