-How will Sergei Gonchar's potential contract negotiations be impacted by his wrist injury?
-Maxime Talbot things Marc-Andre Fleury (above) deserves to be on Canada's Olympic roster.
-Sidney Crosby has apparently taken an active role in the NHLPA's issues.
-Golf Digest ranks Mario Lemieux as the 16th best athlete golfer.
-Defenseman Ben Lovejoy has apparently been taken off injured reserve and demoted to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
-The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be looking for some revenge against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers tomorrow.
-The AHL Penguins demoted defenseman Lane Caffaro and goaltender Adam Berkhoel to the Wheeling Nailers.
-Happy 50th birthday to former Penguins defenseman Bennett Wolf. In only 24 games during the 1980-81 season, Wolf was able to accumulate 94 penalty minutes.
Atlantic Division
-Zach Parise had two goals and an assist for the Devils who beat the rival Rangers, 4-2. Martin Brodeur made 29 saves in the win which was New Jersey's fifth in six games. Ales Kotalik led New York with a goal and an assist.
-In addition to fight fighting Sean Avery, Devils defenseman Mike Mottau suffered a hip injury:

-Claude Giroux's shootout goal gave the Flyers a 4-3 win against the Bruins. Ole-Kristian Tollefsen led Philadelphia with two assists. Derek Morris had a goal and an assist for Boston.
-Philadelphia's Daniel Briere got some rough treatement near the net by Boston's Dennis Wideman:

-Tollefsen fought Trent Whitfield:
-We like how NESN's Jack Edwards said Whitfied went "underneath." We guess you go "underneath" when you get your teeth punched down your throat.
-The one guy in Philly who can apparently read and write was the game:

-Is it us or does Flyers forward Scott Hartnell have the fattest face in the NHL?

-FIngers must be high in carbs.
-Because he's the greatest leader in the history of anything, Flyers captain Mike Richards isn't talking to the media.
Northeast Division
-Marc-Andre Bergeron had a goal and an assist for the Canadiens in a 5-1 rout of the Islanders. Glen Metropolit and Tomas Plekanec each recorded two assists while Jaroslav Halak made 21 saves in the win.
-Halak, teammate Brian Gionta and New York's John Tavares kept their eyes on the puck:

-The Bruins recalled former Penguins forward Guillaume Lefebvre from Providence of the AHL.
-The agent for free agent forward Brendan Shanahan denied speculations the Bruins were interested in signing his client.
Southeast Division
-Jeff Schultz had an 175-foot goal and two assists for the Capitals who held off the Thrashers in a wild 5-4 at Atlanta. Ilya Kovalchuk led the Thrashers with two goals.
-Schultz's goal against Ondre Pavelec:
-"I never felt comfortable once that whole game." - Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau on each team being sloppy.

-Atlanta goaltender and former Penguin Johan Hedberg is still "The Moose:"

-Washington's Semyon Varlamov has a pretty sharp mask as well:

-The Thrashers re-united the "Little White Russian" Line of Bryan Little, Todd White and Slava Kozlov.
-Two goals from Steven Stamkos led the Lightning to a 5-2 defeat of the Sharks. Mike Smith made 32 saves in the win.
-Smith had a little trouble locating the puck here:

-The Capitals recalled forwards Keith Aucoin and Alexandre Giroux from Hershey of the AHL.
-What chance do Hurricanes forward Eric Staal and goaltender Cam Ward have at making Canada's Olympic roster?
-Carolina defenseman Tim Gleason is dealing with an "upper-body" injury.
Central Division
-Shea Weber's overtime goal gave the Predators a wild 6-5 win at Ottawa. Weber and Ryan Suter each finished with two goals and an assist for the Predators while teammate J.P. Dumont added a goal and four assists. Nashville snapped a six-game losing streak. Jason Spezza led the Senators with three assists.
-The Blues need forward Brad Boyes to start scoring. He only has one goal this season.
-St. Louis recalled forward D.J. King from Peoria of the AHL.
-The Rockford IceHogs, the Blackhawks' AHL affiliate, signed former Panthers defenseman Jassen Cullimore to a professional tryout agreement.
-The Blue Jackets activated defenseman Mike Commodore from injured reserve.
-Former Penguins goaltender Mathieu Garon has become a mentor to Blue Jackets goaltender Steve Mason.
-Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk returned to the lineup last night after missing two games due to an "upper-body" injury.
Northwest Division

-Dustin Penner (above, No. 27, with Sam Gagner) had two goals and three assists for the Oilers in a 6-4 comeback win against the Blue Jackets. Edmonton also got a goal and four assists from Ales Hemsky while teammates Sam Gagner and Lubomir Visnovsky each added a goal and two assists. Kristian Huselius led Columbus with two goals.
-How awesome are the Oilers' throwbacks?
-Oilers forward and former Penguin Ryan Stone is expected to miss two to four weeks after having knee surgery.
-Wild forward and former Penguin Petr Sykora practiced for the first time since injuring his groin Oct. 10.
Pacific Division
-Adrian Aucoin's overtime goal gave the Coyotes a 3-2 win against the Red Wings. Aucoin added an assist as Phoenix won its fourth consecutive game. Detroit got two assists each from Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg.
-Michal Handzus' overtime goal gave the Kings a 5-4 win against the Stars. Anze Kopitar led Los Angeles with his first career hat trick while Wayne Simmonds added a goal and two assists. James Neal scored two goals for Dallas.
-Stars forward Brad Richards returned to the lineup after missing two games due to a groin injury.
-Ducks forward Evgeny Artyukhin was suspened for three games for slew-footing Stars defenseman Matt Niskanen. The incident led to a head injury for Niskanen:
