We've seen the item on former Blues defenseman Jay McKee. With all due respect to the outlet reporting it, we're holding off on addressing it until we see something a little bit more concrete.

Andy Strickland on that site is pretty reliable. I'd say its a done deal. But I dont blame you for not jumping the gun.
I just spoke to Brian Metzer, Penguins blogger for Hockey Buzz, he says that Mckee has told him directly this is a done deal, pending a physical. It will be announced tomorrow.
Very good signing for the Pens... especially if the 800k cap hit is true. If not for the Blues having to pay him partial '09-10 salary, I don't think this would be possible. Mckee is favorably comparable to Rob Scuderi except at 1/4 the salary of what they would have had to pay Scuderi to pace LA's offer.
