-Remember that whole "Senators forward Dany Heatley wants traded" thing? There's one problem. No one has made an offer to Ottawa.
-Today's outdoor game flavor of the day is a Canadiens contest at Olympic Stadium.

Southeast Division
-It was officially confirmed former Capitals forward Sergei Fedorov signed with Magnitogorsk of the KHL.
-Lightning general manager Brian Lawton felt the need to send out the following e-mail to fellow general managers around the league:
"Please be advised that in order to avoid any confusion over the next
couple of weeks, as GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning Organization I am the
only person authorized to speak on behalf of the team with regard to
player transactions. No other person is authorized to negotiate player transactions. Any questions, feel free to call."
Central Division

-The Predators are still trying to sign forward Steve Sullivan.
Northwest Division
-The agent for Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo (right) denied a report his client is close to signing a long-term contract with Vancouver.
-Former Wild coach Jacques Lemaire scoffed at the idea of his former team playing an up-tempo style of offense. Wild fans scoffed at the idea of Jacques Lemaire winning a playoff round.
Pacific Division
-The Ducks are still waiting to hear the future plans of defenseman Scott Niedermayer and forward Teemu Selanne. Both players are considering retirement. Again.
-Bad omen of the day: The Stars have the No. 8 overall pick in tonight's draft. The last time they had a pick that high, they chose one-time Penguins defenseman Ric Jackman.
Adams Division
-Not hockey related, but to quote Dave Chappelle, "He made Thriller... Thriller:"
