From the link Seth posted about Georges laraque being ticked about the fighting recommended rule changes:

"This will take the one-dimensional player out of the NHL because that's who they will say starts a staged fight."

So...this is a bad thing? Laraque just summed up the best part about that recommendation. Get rid of the goons. The NHL isn't a make work program. If you all you bring to the table is fighting ability because you were born bigger than the other kids on the play ground then you shouldn't be in the NHL. This isn't the NBA that rewards guys because they were born big.

Boo hoo, BGL wont be able to make 2 Mil a year to sit on the bench for all but 3 minutes of a game then go out and fight some other no-talent clown, while a young, talented prospect might be riding a bus in the AHL.

I would disagree that Craig Adams has been underwhelming. He's much better than Godard who Adams will essentially replace come playoff time and during games when there's no fighter on the other team opposite Godard. He grinds hard, cycles the puck well, skates well, and gets the puck to the net. I think his best ability is his hands. He's probably got second or third line type hands, just not the skill to finish. So I wouldn't say he's overwhelming, but a definite upgrade that solidifies the 4th line.

I was at the game last night, and there was a serious jersey foul sitting in the next section over.  It was a road Uniform from the late 80s/early 90s(which I think are not only best uniforms in franchise history, but in all of Pittsburgh sports) with a Malkin 71 on it.  The guy obviously took the effort to personalize it, so why not just throw a Stevens, Jagr, Lemieux, or even Paul Stanton rather then the player that never wore that jersey?  Not that I don't like Geno or the uniforms, but keep them apart.
