-The Associated Press' recap. Marian Hossa found a pretty effective way to shut up Penguins fans.
-Booth Newspapers' recap. Conklin said of the Hossa booing. "I guess I expected them to boo him a little bit, but that was vicious,
at times. But it shows they care (about their team)
and there's nothing wrong with that."
-The Detroit News' recap. Hossa has never been booed like that in his life.

-Petr Sykora was hard on himself for taking a penalty yesterday.

-Why was Alex Goligoski demoted?
-The Penguins' game in Washington Feb. 22 has been chosen selected by NBC for a national telecast. Thankfully, this is the last time NBC will force us to wake up before 2 p.m. in the regular season.
-John Curry made 32 saves and led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 5-0 shutout of the Norfolk Admirals. Jean-Michel Daoust scored two goals while Mark Letetsu added a goal and two assists.

-Alex Goligoski got some quality minutes for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton yesterday.
-Deryk Engelland and Alex Goligoski, together again.
Atlantic Division
-Jeff Carter (right) had two goals and an assist for the Flyers in a 3-2 win at Atlanta. Teammate Scott Hartnell added two assists for Philadelphia which has won 14 consecutive games against the Thrashers. Ilya Kovalchuk and Slava Kozlov each had a goal and an assist for Atlanta.
-The Flyers own the Thrashers.
-Devils forward Brendan Shanahan gets his first crack tonight at the team which refused to re-sign him this past offseason, the Rangers.
-Stars forward Sean Avery is expected to join the Rangers' AHL affiliate in Hartford.
Northeast Division
-The Sabres, one of the teams the Penguins are chasing for a playoff spot, will be without their top player for a few weeks. Forward Thomas Vanek will be out of the lineup 3-to-4 weeks due to a broken jaw.
-The Bruins don't regret trading forward Joe Thornton to San Jose three seasons ago.

-Former Senators goaltender Ray Emery left his KHL team. Emery apparently had this problem with not getting paid.
-Daniel Alfredsson (right) has seen it all in Ottawa.
Southeast Division
-The Capitals demoted forward Alexandre Giroux and goaltender Michal Neuvirth to Hershey of the AHL.
-Thrashers forward Ilya Kovalchuk had a productive weekend. He picked up a goal, an assist and a son.
-The Panthers lead the league in goals by defensemen.
-Former Penguins forward Rick Tocchet has managed to give the Lightning a sense of direction since taking over as coach.
-Tampa Bay's Mike McKenna is not your typical NHL goaltender. Or person.
