-Shootout goals from Jiri Hudler and former Penguins forward Marian Hossa lifted the Red Wings to a 4-3 win against the rival Blues.
Hossa also had two goals in regulation. Chris Osgood made 30 saves for
Detroit which snapped a five-game winning streak.Fire Ray Shero. Brad
Boyes and Carlo Colaiacovo each had two assists for St. Louis.
-The Blackhawks and Bulls are BFFs.
-Chicago demoted forward Pascal Pelletier to Rockford of the AHL.
-The Blue Jackets put forwad Alexandre Picard on waivers.
Northwest Division
-Marek Svatos had two goals and an assist for the Avalanche which edged the Flames, 4-3.
Teammates tyler Arnason and Ryan Smyth added two assists while Peter
Budaj made 36 saves in the win which snapped a four-game losing streak
for Colorado. Miikka Kiprusoff made 36 saves in the loss.

Pacific Division
-Scoreboard watch for the Penguins: Steve Montador and Teemu Selanne each recorded two assists and led the Ducks to a 3-2 deteat of the Sabres.
Paul Gaustad had two assists for Buffalo while former Penguins
goaltender Patrick Lalime made 34 saves in the loss. Buffalo remains in
seventh place in the Eastern Conference with 57 points, four more than
the Penguins who are in tenth with 53.
-It was Miller Time in Anaheim last night.
-With defenseman Matt Greene a little dinged up (foot), the Kings recalled defenseman Davis Drewiske from Manchester of the AHL.
-The Coytes recalled defenseman David Schlemko from San Antonio of the AHL.
