Atlantic Division
-Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves for the Rangers in a 2-0 shutout of the Senators. Lauri Korpikoski had a goal and an assist.
-Jeff Carter overtook the NHL's goal-scoring lead with two goals and led the Flyers to a 4-1 defeat of the Maple Leafs. Carter now has 29 goals. Martin Biron made 41 saves in the win.
-Travis Zajac had a goal and two assists for the Devils in a 5-1 win at Los Angeles. Teammates Patrik Elias, Jamie Langenbrunner and Zach Parise each added a goal and an assist. Kevin Weekes made 34 saves in the win.

-Devils forward Brian Rolston (right, in white) appeared in his 1,000th career game.
-With former Penguins defenseman Michal Rozsival dealing with a head injury, the Rangers recalled defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti from Hartford of the AHL.
-Feb. 9 will be a big date for the Rangers and Devils.
-Is it too early to preorder that John Tavares Islanders jersey?
Northeast Division
-David Krejci had a goal and two assists while Michael Ryder added two goals for the Bruins in a 5-1 defeat of the Hurricanes. Teammate Mark Stuart had a goal and an assist while Blake Wheeler recorded two assists.
-The Bruins recalled forwards Byron Bitz and Martins Karsums and goaltender Tuukka Rask from Providence of the AHL.
-Bitz got an assist in his first NHL game.
-A knee injury could sideline Bruins forward Marco Sturm for the rest of the season.
-What ever happened to the Senators?
-Maple Leafs forward and former Penguin Dominic Moore is a swell guy.
-Moore had a pretty big collision with Flyers defenseman Luca Sbisa last night:
Southeast Division
-Radek Dvorak had a goal and two assists while Ville Peltonen contributed two goals for the Panthers in an 8-4 rout of the Thrashers. Teammate Gregory Campbell added three assists while David Booth, Michael Frolik and Nathan Horton each had a goal and an assist. Atlanta was led by Todd White who had a goal and two assists while former Penguins Colby Armstrong and Erik Christensen each scored a goal. Fire Ray Shero.
-The Thrashers claimed forward Rich Peverly off waivers from the Predators.
-Panthers forward Chad Kilger still won't talk about why he has refused to ever suit up for Florida.
-The Lightning had its financing reorganized.
