Central Division

Northwest Division
-Brett Clark's overtime goal gave the Avalanche a 5-4 win against the Coyotes.
Teammate Paul Stastny had a goal and an assist but suffered a broken
forearm after being hit by a slap shot. Colorado got a goal and three
assist from Ryan Smyth while teammate John-Michael Liles added a goal
and two assists. Phoenix was led by Shane Doan's two goals and Olli
Jokinen who a goal and two assists.
-Dany Sabourin, Miroslav Satan, Rob Scuderi, Jordan Staal, Ryan Stone and Petr Sykora better hope they don't get traded to the Avalanche.
-Niklas Backstrom made 35 saves while Marian Gaborik had a goal and an assist for the Wild which edged the Hurricanes in a battle of naturally occuring phenomenon, 3-2. Teammate Mikko Koivu added two assists. Carolina was led by Rod Brind'Amour and Ray Whitney who each had a goal and an assist.
-Gaborik will be held out of the Wild's next two games. Huh?
-Mike Cammalleri and Mark Giordano each contributed a goal and an assist for the Flames who edged the Ducks, 4-3.
Calgary captain Jarome Iginla had two assists while rookie teammate
Brett Sutter, son of general manager Darryl Sutter, scored a goal in
his first NHL game. Anaheim was led by Brendan Morrison's two goals.
-Oilers forward Ethan Moreau (right) is dealing with a forearm injury.
-Wild forward Eric Belanger is dealing with pneumonia.

-Hopefully security at Consol Energy Center (we have to force that out) is better than whoever is watching the cars near Xcel Energy Center.

Pacific Division
-From the "out of no where" department, James Neal's first career hat trick helped the visiting Stars rout the Maple Leafs, 8-2.
Teammates Fabian Brunnstrom, Steve Ott and Mike Ribeiro each had a goal
and an assist while Trevor Daley, Stephane Robidas, Jere Lehtinen and
former Penguins forward Landon Wilson each had two assists. Fire Craig
Patrick.
-Neal is the fourth Stars player to net a hat trick this season.
-The Sharks got 33 saves from Evgeni Nabokov in a 5-0 shutout of the Canucks.
Patrick Marleau had a goal and two assists for San Jose while Devin
Setoguchi and Joe Thornton each contributed a goal and an assist.
-Jonathan Quick made 24 saves and recorded his first career shutout as the Kings won at Columbus, 3-0. Patrick O'Sullivan had a goal and an assist for Los Angeles.
-The NHL is trying to help the cash-strapped Coyotes find new revenue. There might be some in Winnipeg.
Adams Division
-Anthony Sweet of West Allegheny, Jamesy Ross of Altoon, Dace Ludwig of Laurel Valley and James Robash of Mars were named the PIHL's players of the month.
