The Penguins recalled forwards Ryan Stone and Jeff Taffe from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.
Taffe has one assist in four games this season with the NHL
Penguins. He has recorded 29 points (14 goals, 15 goals) in 25 games in
the AHL this season.
Stone has 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) and 47 penalty minutes
in 28 games with the AHL Penguins this season. He recorded one assist
in six games with the NHL Penguins last season.
Additionally, Michel Therrien confirmed goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury will start tomorrow in Atlanta.
EN Says: We've been a pretty big champion of seeing what Ryan Stone can offer.
With the team's preceived lack of toughness, Stone brings a lot of
gravel and spit. While he's only been summoned to the NHL due to
injuries, this has to be one of his final chances to show he has legit
potential. He's been with the organization since 2003 and he's running
out of time.
We all know what Taffe brings. He's a solid, responsible fourth-line type of player.
Obviously, a return of Marc-Andre Fleury is positive.
