Central Division
-Cristobal Huet made 31 saves for the Blackhawks in a 3-1 defeat of the Blue Jackets. Duncan Keith added two assists.
-Blackhawks forward Kris Versteeg has been consistent this season.
-The Blue Jackets want goaltender Steve Mason to quit playing ball hockey in the summer.
-Blues forward B.J. Crombeen has reached the NHL despite dealing with diabetes.
Northwest Division
-Pavol Demitra scored two goals while teammate Ryan Kesler added a goal and an assist for the Canucks in a 5-3 win against their "regional" rival, the Panthers.
-Oilers defenseman Sheldon Souray managed to take out two Canucks,
Alex Burrows and Kevin Bieksa, with his rocket slap shot Saturday night:

-Calgary forward Curtis Glencross is dealing with a "lower-body" injury.
-Flames defenseman Adrian Aucoin gets the seniors special at Denny's.
-So does Colorado defenseman Adam Foote.
-Some of the Avalanche's dinged up players are getting healthy.
Pacific Division

-Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 26 saves for the Ducks in a 4-2 defeat of the Wild. Chris Kunitz and Chris Pronger each recorded two assists for the Ducks. Minnesota has lost five consecutive games.
-The Stars acquired forward Brian Sutherby from the Anaheim Ducks for forward David McIntyre and a conditionaly sixth-round pick in 2010. Dallas demoted defenseman Dan Jancevski to Hamilton of the AHL.
-Stars coach and former Penguins forward Dave Tippett called his team's signing of forward Sean Avery "a bad marriage."
-The signing of Avery will haunt the Stars for some time.
-Ducks forward Brendan Morrison is starting to get his legs back.
-Coyotes rookie forward Mikkel Boedker (right) is learning from his mistakes.
-With forward Jeremy Roenick dealing with a shoulder injury, the Sharks recalled forward Jamie McGinn from Worcester of the AHL.
