Central Division
-Keith Tkachuk's goal helped the Blues claim a 4-2 win at Atlanta. Tkachuk's goal was his 1,000th career point.
-Tkachuk became the 72nd player in league history to reach that mark.
-The Blue Jackets are having issues on the power play as well.
Northwest Division
-The Canucks recalled forward Jason Jaffay from Manitoba of the AHL and demoted forward Alexandre Bolduc.
-The Wild is tough.
-Minnesota forward Eric Belanger is dealing with a "lower-body" injury.
Pacific Division
-Mike Modano's (right) goal with 2:21 left in regulation gave the Stars a 4-3 win against the Oilers. Modano's goal was the 1,300th of his career.
-Two goals from Rob Niedermayer helped the Ducks claim a 4-1 win at Anaheim.
-The King demoted forward Brian Boyle to Manchester of the AHL. He was a first-round pick of the Kings in 2003.
-Los Angeles defenseman Denis Gauthier is dealing with a foot injury.
-The Stars and Lightning surely fixed all their problems yesterday when Tampa Bay dealt defenseman Andrew Hutchinson to Dallas for forward Lauri Tukonen. Tukonen is playing this season in Europe.
-Coyotes forward Olli Jokinen missed his first game since the 2002-03 season.
-Goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere rejoined the Ducks after attending to a family matter in Montreal.
