Hälsningarna från Sverige

(That's Swedish for "Greetings from Sweden.")

Shelly Anderson checks in with some photos of the Penguins' adventures in Sweden. They had a scavenger hunt of some sort.

-From left to right, Pascal Dupuis, Bill Thomas and Darryl Sydor assembling an IKEA storage box. It's apparently cheaper to go directly to the manufacturer than to the IKEA store in Robinson. You eliminate the middle man that way.

-From left to right, Paul Bissonnette, Miroslav Satan, Sidney Crosby and Rob Scuderi working on their IKEA project.

- Marc-Andre Fleury's appetizer plate at Gondolen Resturant. They had to try to pick out which food item wasn't Swedish. That is easily the coolest looking plate ever.

-Maxime Talbot getting his Leif Ericson on:

-Talbot apparently has no faith in the acquatic rescue services offered in Sweden:

So, Seth, how does Shelly Anderson get the boondoggle trip to Sweden and you are stuck in Castle Empty Netters live blogging from your couch (if your computer works, that is).  You got that shaft on this assignment -- we're talking her Marty McSorley to your Donald Brashear.

Robo:  Agreed! Max Talbot Rocks!

Seth:  Not sure where you found these pictures (they are not on pens.com) but keep up the good work!  This blog has simply become a "must read" for the true Penguin fan, such as myself.

BTW...I wonder if we can purchase those Ikea boxes on Ebay?

Ps...Any luck the Pens v Jokerit game live feed will find its way to the internet?

@lemieux67

My brother told me someone was working on getting a feed going. He reads HFBoards religiously so I'm assuming he picked that info up there -- see if you can find some info on those boards.

@scottauth...thanx, will peruse HF Boards

umm...I think that the non-Swedish food item is in row 2, box 3.  Those are Rocky Mountain Oysters, I believe.

MH,

All I can say is you may want to direct that question to my editor Jerry Micco. He can be reached at jmicco@post-gazette.com. Please be sure to mention to him you think I need a raise. ;)

L67,

Shelly Anderson sent them in. I appreciate the compliment. This is something I've put a lot of effort and energy into so getting feedback like that means a lot. Thanks!

In regards to an online broadcast. I'm something is out there on that Justin.tv site or channelsurfing.net. I'll track that down and post something one way or another.
