Ya think next year's elections -- in which Democrats are suffering from a giant enthusiasm gap with Republicans -- will be a referendum on Obama and/or the economy? Pat Toomey and state GOP chief Rob Gleason are holding a presser on Obama on the eve of his Friday visit to the Lehigh Valley. From Team Toomey:
U.S. Senate candidate Pat Toomey and Republican State Party Chairman Rob Gleason
will be hosting a joint press conference Thursday morning to talk about the
futility of the Administration's "stimulus" plan and to present new ideas for
growing the economy before President Obama visits the Lehigh Valley Friday.
The Administration continues to tout its "stimulus"
legislation as a job-creating force, but all of its promises have fallen flat.
Unemployment has soared above 10%, while the stimulus has been fraught with
errors and wasteful pork projects. Clearly, the current path is not working.
President Obama is touting his trip to Allentown as the kick-off to a nationwide
"listening tour." Hopefully, he will start listening to some new ideas.
