Good morning.
There should be a lot of analysis of last night's results all through the week, and as usual we start with the Pittsburgh mayor's race and this sobering tidbit from Rich Lord: "No Democratic mayoral nominee has gotten a lower share of the vote
since 1977, when Tom Foerster was bested by Democrat-turned-Independent
Richard Caliguiri."
Maybe it was a good thing Ravenstahl cross-filed as a Republican. He was running against two independents but the GOP is the story around Pa: between Joan Orie Melvin's Supreme Court win and the two other appellate court races yesterday, Republicans were poised to win 6 of the 7 positions on the statewide ballot.
