More Ravenstahl and football

Ravenstahl & towel

Luke Ravenstahl might be rooting for the Titans a little bit during the Steelers opener Sept. 10.

Hours after he went on KDKA radio and went toe to toe over going to Steelers training camp the same day as a G-20 briefing, Ravenstahl picked his fantasy football team. The Yahoo Sports team (which we reported on earlier here) is for charity, in a league comprised of 10 mayors nationwide. A Yahoo press rep says the mayor picked the team himself in a live draft that kicked off at 1:30 p.m.

We give the mayor credit -- we thought he'd go the easy route and pick up a bunch of Steelers. Instead, he picked just one (Hines Ward in the 7th round) and his first round pick was Titans running back Chris Johnson. Ravenstahl went with the traditional 2 running back draft strategy, but still got two decent WRs. Marshawn Lynch in the 5th might be a reach (he'll be suspended the first three games), and you have to think the mayor will pick up a better backup QB than Kyle Orton on waivers.

A QB like Michael Vick maybe. Interestingly, none of the mayors risked picking him, probably for PR (and not football) reasons. Here's Ravenstahl's team, called "Pittsburgh Proud."

Chris Johnson (Ten - RB)

Steve Slaton (Hou - RB)

Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR)

Marques Colston (NO - WR)

Marshawn Lynch (Buf - RB)

Donovan McNabb (Phi - QB)

Hines Ward (Pit - WR)

Donnie Avery (StL - WR)

Kevin Walter (Hou - WR)

Fred Jackson (Buf - RB)

Greg Olsen (Chi - TE)

Kyle Orton (Den - QB)

David Akers (Phi - K)

New York (NYJ - DEF)

Carolina (Car - DEF)

Steelerstahl is such a complete tool, that photo of him really brings to life how bad this city is with him at the helm, wait, mayor Zober at the helm
