A note on COLAs

Tab cola

It's nice that Harrisburg leadership is stepping forward to give back their cost-of-living-adjustments to their salaries, which could save an estimated $1 million for the state budget if all 253 legislators sign on. But with the state facing a $2 billion shortfall -- making social service cuts, job cuts and tax increases a real possibility -- the savings would be much bigger if the ONE THOUSAND state judges in line for the salary increase would step up as well.

Where is judicial leadership on this? Does such a thing exist?
