Comic book vs. Sarah Palin

I think we can assume Sarah Palin is not a reader of "Tales from the Crypt," a revival of the 1950s comic book, which is a good thing -- this month it comes with an editorial about censorship and this cover featuring the Alaska hockey mom.

As FactCheck noted, Palin did not censor books as mayor of Wassila, but she did ask a librarian general questions about banning them. The publisher of "Tales," Cathy Gaines Mifsud (the daughter of the publisher of MAD magazine and the original "Tales") is sensitive to the subject, as censorship pressure forced her father to shut down his horror comics in the 1950s.
